Abstract: Two chiral two-layered capsular compounds have been synthesizied from chiral cyclohexane-1,2-diamine-derived dipodal precursors. The precursors bear both amino and aldehyde groups which are connected to two intramolecularly hydrogen bonded foldamer segments. Intramolecular hydrogen bonding facilitates the selective generation of two macrocyclic moieties by forming six imine bonds.
