Abstract: Thiacalix[4]arene tetrasulfonate modified gold nanoparticles which were used as a colorimetric probe for detection of metal ions were synthesized in situ by one step without external reducing agent. The results show that thiacalix[4]arene tetrasulfonate modified gold nanoparticles is capable to detect CrP3+P with high selectivity, and the detection limit is 1μM.

Key words: Thiacalix[4]arene tetrasulfonate, Gold nanoparticles, Cr3+, Colorimetric detection
