Abstract: Aseries of NOtraps with two trapping centers bridging by polyether α,ω-bis(imidazoline nitronyl nitroxide) phenyl polyether have been designed and synthesized. Their physical properties and the characteristics of the spectra have been examined. Under different solvent systems, the title compounds can trap NOreleased from sodium nitroprusside by photolysis forming the corresponding imino nitroxides, which were characterized by means of electron spin resonance.
