Synthesis of 1-Aroyl-3-alkyl-6-hydroxy-6-aryl Fulvenes

Abstract: Ten new fulvenes have been synthesized by the reactions of 6, 6-dialkylfulvenes and 6-ferrocenylfulvene with methyllithium or aryllithiums followed by treatment of aroyl chloride. On the basis of 1H NMR, IRand elemental analysis, their structures were proposed.
