UV-Vis and XPS Spectroccopic Studies on Self-assembled Metalloporphrin Films

Abstract: We investigated the fabrication of self-assembled monolayers of 5,10,15,20-tetra-(p-methonphenyl)porphyrin metal hydroxyl compound(MTPPOH; M=Ho, Yb) on amino-terminated quartz surfaces by mesns of UV-Vis spectrum and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). The results indicate that the central metal is crucial in the formation of the self-assembled porphyrin films.
