Abstract: Ten new 1-aryloxyacetyl-4-(2-nitrobenzoyl)-thiosemicarbazides(Ⅲ) were synthesized under the condition of solid-liquid phase transfer catalysis, and compounds Ⅲ on fur-ther reaction with acetic acid gives ten 2-(2-nitrobenzoylamido)-5-aryloxymethyl-1,3,4-thia-diazoles(Ⅳ). Compounds Ⅲ and Ⅳ were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1HNMR. The preliminary promoting effects of compounds Ⅲ and Ⅳ on wheat growth were also tested.
