Effect of Ce4+ on Preferred Orientation Nickel

Abstract

Abstract: Ni deposit with(220)highly preferred orientation was obtained with potentiostatic method in solution containing 1.0 mol/L NiSO₄,0.5 mol/L H₃BO₃,1.9×10₃mol/L CeSO(₄)₂.The deposit with highly preferred orientation was examined with X-ray diffraction and scanning tunneling microscope.It is shown that the Ni deposit has(220)highly preferred orientation,with texture degree of 95 percent and layer-shaped structure.The electrochemical behavior of the solution was studied with cyclic voltammetry.
