Abstract: Anovel layered compound, [Ni(C10 H8N2)2V3O8.5], was hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a=15518(3)nm, b=14761(3)nm, c=10483(2)nm, β=9202(3)°, V=23998 (8)nm3, Z=4, R=00467, wR2=00859.
