Abstract: Crosslinking structure formed during irradiation of polyethylene with the doses just lower than the gel dose, and the effects for this formation were investigated by 13C NMR Spectra. It is shown that formation of both "H" and "Y" type not only have a connection with irradiated doses, but also a few of other structures containing in the original PE. Nevertheless, are not related to the molecular weight for the PEsamples. The reaction mechanism and the principal factors influencing radiation-induced links arc also discussed for PEin the molten state.
