Abstract: The activity coefficients of C4alcohols in diphenyl methane and in dibenzyl ether at 313.15K were measured by gas-liquid finite concentration chromatography. The data were treated with Wiehe-Bagley(W-B)continuous association model, and then the self-association constants KAwere evaluated.According to the concept of homomorph, taking the value of KAof one alcohol in diphenyl methane as the value of the same alcohol in dibenzyl ether, the cross association constants KABof alcohol with dibenzyl ether were obtained. It is shown that the W-Bmodel can be fitted to the experimental result satisfactorily.
