Studies on Structure of the Substrate in the Oxidation Reaction Catalyzed by Peroxidase

Abstract

Abstract: This paper studies the competitive inhibitory actions of twenty-three substances on the oxidation reaction system of chavicol with H₂O₂catalyzed by peroxidase.The compu tation method of the inhibitory constant K_i, is presented. With comparing and analysing the values of all kinds of substances K_i,the best structure of the substrate in the oxidation reac tion catalyzed by peroxidase is suggested.
