Abstract: The use of glassy carbon material(GC) as the platform with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry is described. In the present work, the prelimited experimental gathered by GCplatform in combination with pyrolylic graphite coated tube is reported with regard to analytical characteristic, lifetime, sesitivity and reproducibility of determination, chemical stability and matrix interferences for determination of volatile element Cd and less volatile element Cu.Overview and comparison of the surfaces on GCand graphite platform by scanning electron microscopy are presented.
