    The extraction kinetics and mechanism of palladium (Ⅱ) from chloride medium with quaternary ammonium salt(N263 ) were studied by means of PVC-membrane Pd(Ⅱ) ion selective electrode and stationary interface stirring cell,The experimental results show that the extraction process may be controlled by the following interlace reaction.where AC1,(i) and (o) repesent N263,interface and organic phase respectively.The influences of temperature,acidity,and added substance (n-octoh) in the organic phase on the extraction rate are also discussed.

    The polymorphic transformation of the compound Er2Fe4/3 W2/3O7 with hexagonal pyrochlore structure has been studied by high pressure and high temperature.It is found that the compound Er22Fe4/3 W2/3O7 has a phase transition from hexagonal to triclinic structure at 4.0GPa and 1200℃.Under this synthetic condition,the products of both synthesized directly from the mixture (Ⅰ) and from those hexagonal Er2Fe4/3 W2/3O7 (Ⅰ) have the same structures ( triclinic).

    The binary and ternary stability constants of DL-α-Alaninc with Cu(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ) were determined by pHpolcntiometric titration at 37±0.1℃ and ionic strength 150mM/dm3.Potentiomeinc data were treated with ZPLOT,MAGEC,MINIQUADand ESTAprograms.The compositions of complex species were ascertained in the complex equilibriums by selection of different chemical models.The lgKand lgXvalues indicate that the complexes with mixed li-gands were obviously more stable than the simple binary systems especially in the zinc-alaninate-histidinale-proton system.Distribution curves of the complex species show the continuity of stepwise cotnplexing in the formation of complexes.At physiological pHregion these complexes,except cadium system,existed mainly in the form of neutral complexes which have biological significance in the transfer of metal ons acrossing the membrane.

    The sensitization of surfactants on the fluorescent reactions of Zr(Ⅳ),Hf(Ⅳ),Al3+,Ga3+,In3+ and Sb(Ⅴ) with morin was stutied.It was found that the sensitization of anionic surfactant-sodium lauryl sulfonate ( SLS ) appears to be the most strong.In the presence of SLS,the fluorescence intensity of ternary complexes involving SLSis increased greatly.Using the sensitization of SLS,it is possible to develop some high sensitive fluorimetric methods of the metals.

    The clement mercury is of high vaporabilily at room temperature and ofstrong affinity for gold.Based on these characteristics of mercury,a new method—gaseous enrichment-stripping voltammctry for the determination of mercury was developed.The method is specific and quite sensitive.It was shown that the concentration range of mercury that could be quantitatively determined with a model 883 polarogragh was 0.2-8.0 ppb.The detection limit was 0.05 ppb.The method has been satisfactorily employed to analyse practical samples.

    UV-irradiation has been known as an effective method for the decomposition of organic phosphorus compounds in water.In this paper,the conditions of photo-decomposition have been studied.We found that K2S2O8 as an photo--oxidant is more effective than other oxidants (e.g.,H2O2 which is commonly used).The suitable pHof the medium is about 3.In the range of 217-650μg-P/1,all the compounds studied were quantitatively decomposed within 10 min.The relative standard deviation for the determination is less than3.6%.The interferences during irradiation process were studied.Finally,the possibility of using this method to determine organic phosphorus in water samples is discussed.

    The dissociation of DBC-Arsonazo in aqueous solution was studied by spectro-phtometric and potentiometric litration meiricdr.The values of dissociation constants,pK1=0.70,pK2=1.68,pK3=2.76,pK4=6.54,pK5=9.64,pK6=10.54,were determined by spectrophotorr.ctric methods at the identical temperature and ionic strength (20℃,I=0.4).Under the identical conditions the results pK3=3.7,pK4=6.67,pK5=9.95,pK6=10.95,obtained by using the potentiometric titration method.

    The chemical composition of the top note of Osmanthus in Hangzhou has been studied by using the adsorption desorption method.By means of GC/MSin conbination with Kovat's Retention Index for qualitative determination 58 compounds including mainly β-ocimene-X 1-mcthyl-6-isopropylidene bicyclo [3,1,0] hexane and β-ocimene-γ were identified.As compared with the published components in Osmanthus absolute oil,52 compounds were additionally identified in the top note of Osmanthus in our study.Besides,3-methyl pyrazole and 3,4-dimethyl-2-pyrazole-5-one were also identified,which were rarely found in aroma of plant materials.

    Based on the nonequilibrium and nonlinear features and the concept of dissjpa-tive structure,a nonideal interface reaction-diffusion model for the formation of striations in crystals is proposed.In this model,the coupling between multiplicity of states of crystal surface caused by interface kinetics and diffusion processes may lead to a hysteresis phenomenon,so it can explain the phenomena of the formation of ordered striations in some crystals.

    The various intermediates of elcctrophilic additions of F+,Cl+ to ethylcne,propene,fluorocthylene have been optimized by MNDOscheme with energy gradient technique.The most stable configurations were obtained.The substituted ethylenes tend to form the open intermediates more easily than the cthylene but the Cl+ as the reagent,tends to form the cyclic intermediate more easily than the F+.The interaction energies of the above three systems with F+ as electrophile have been studied further with ab initio method and Ewere decomposed into their components by Morokuma's decomposition scheme.In these reactions,it is found that charge transfer interaction is the most important one while the electrostatic interaction is the next.The effects of the substituting groups were also discussed.

    The adsorption of sodium decyl-,dodecyl-and tetradecyl sulfate on negatively charged TiO2 surface has been investigated.The adsorption isotherms display a sigmoid pattern,indicating the lateral interaction between the adsorbed surface active ions The adsorption free energy and lateral interaction parameter were calculated based on the FFGequation from the adsorption and electrokinetic data.From the experimental results it was deduced that,the adsorbed surface active ions were laying flat and formed hemimicelles at the TiO2/solution interface.

    The copolymerization of ethylene and butadiene with a supported titanium catalyst is described.It is found that in this catalyst system ethylene is more reactive than butadiene.Although the catalytic efficiency of copolymerization is lower than that of homopolymerizations,it can still be maintained at a good level.The copolymerization products were extracted successively with a series of solvents and characterized by means of IRspectra,13CNMRspectra,X-ray diffraction analysis,differential thermal analysis and electron micrograph.The IRstudy showed that the butadiene units are substantially in trans-1,4 configuration.The 13CNMRstudy showed a PE/PBblock-type structure.The DTAand X-ray diffraction analysis showed that two crystalline phases exist in the products.The systematic solvent extraction and the TEMstudy showed that the solubility and the morphological structure of the copolymerization products are quite different from that of the blend of two homopolymers.The ethylene-butadiene copolymerization products can be chemically graphed with some polar monomers such as MMAand Maleic anhydride.It was found that the presence of a low content of unsaturated units ( 5 mol% ) greatly promote the capability of graft polymerization,which offers a possibility for modifying the properties of polymer.

    In this paper it deseribes the preparation and properties of the encapsulated arthrobacter simplex cells.by liquid surfactant membrane which catalyzes the transformation of biger steroid molecule,i.e.,corlisol into prednisolone.The experimental results indicated that the catalytic transformation take place very well and in some system the encapsulated cells keep the initial rate of catalytic transformation as good as that of the free cells.By encapsulation it raises the stability of stroragc.We also investigated various factors which affected the biocatalytic transformation from which we knew that the encapsulated cells system was not influenced by the contaminaljon of Bacillous cells which inhibited the free cells system seriouslv.
