    The polytungstoarsenate[Ln(Asw11O39)2]11-(Ln:La3+,Ce3+,Pr3+,Nd3+,Sm3+) are reported.Their IRand Raman spectra are discussed.Some vibrational bands show a tendency to higher frequency from La to Sm.X-ray powder diffraction patterns demonstrate that some d-spacings decrease with La→Sm,which is consistent with Lanthanide contration.Chemical shifts in XPSwere observed.

    In the present paper,the syntheses of jadeite for jewelry at P=2.0-4.5 GPa and T=900-1450℃ have been described.The size of the synthesized jadeite for jewelry is about φ8×3mm.The jadeite has been synthesized from jadeite glass which was made at 1350-1550℃.By adding Cr+3,Cu+2 and Co+3 cations,the emerald green,red and blue jadeite have been obtained respectively.

    Eleven chelating agents were studied for their ability to mobilize the cadmium bound to bovine serum albumin (BSA).Thc parameter F,which is defined as the ratio between the percentages of Cd bound to BSAin the presence and absence of chelating agents,can be used as the criterion for the estimation of the mobilizing ability of chelating agents.The Fvalues determined experimentally lead to a mobilizing ability sequence DTPA>EDTA>EGTA>NTA>TRIEN>PEN>CYS>HIS>SAThe polyaminopolycarboxylate type chelators mobilize Cd effectively.Alinear relationship is found between lgFand lgKCJL (conditional stability constant of the cadmium chelates) for all the chelators except the mcrcapto-compounds.The anomalous behavior of the mercaplo-chelate agents is discussed.

    The synthesis of the diphenyl sulfoxide complexes of crystalline lanthanide hexafluorophosphate is reported.The IRspectra,UVspectra and the molar electrolytic conductances of the complexes were determined.The compounds of the general formula [Ln(DPhSO)7](PF6 )3(where Ln=La,Pr,Nd,Sm and Yb.,DPhSO=diphenylsulfoxide) have been confirmed.The IRspectra indicate that coordination of DPhSOis through the oxygen atom and the PF6-is present in the pom-pounds as a non-coordinating anion.

    This paper reports a new trichloroarscnazo (TCA) chelating agent-loaded resin and its preparation and properties.It was found that TCAresin had a high selectivity for thorium and its stability,selectivity and regeneration were superior to those of common loaded resin reported in literature.Satisfactory results were obtained when this resin super-short column (φ0.8×2cm) was applied to the separation and preconcentration 1-100 ppm trace amounts of thorium from one gram of high-purity rare earths and uranium and ppb trace amounts of thorium in water.TCAresin can be repeatedly used after regeneration.

    The Optimal conditions of the Cd(Ⅰ)-Cadion 2B-Twecn 40 system have been studied.In the NaOHalkaline medium,,a red Cd(Ⅱ)-Cadion 2B-Tween 40 complex forms with ε510nm=9.80×104.The Ka of Cadion 2Band Surface tension in the system were estimated.It was proved that Ka was increased and the reagent species with absorption maximum at 605nm formed.Using the dual-wave length method at 510-605nm the apparent molar absorptivity for cadmium measured is 2.60×105.The molar ratio of cadmium with Cadion 2B is estimated 1: 3 as by the molar ratio method and continueous variation method.The Beer's law is obeyed in 0-16μg Cd/25ml.Using the proposed method with TEA,IDA,CITmasking mixture,the Cd content in rice samples was determined with satisfactory results.

    1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-sulfonic acid (PAN-S) was obtained simply and effectively by sulphonation of PAN.The acidity constant of the reagent is reported.The investigation of the reaction of PAN-Swith metal ions shows that the characteristic of PAN-Sas a spectrophotometric reagent is similar to that of PAN.The analytical procedure would be simpler and more convenient as PAN-Sis water-soluble.

    In this paper,α,β,γ,δ-tclra-(4-methylphenyl) porphinc(TTP) has been prepared by the reaction of 4-tolualdehyde with pyrrole.The complex formation reaction of TTPwith coppcr(Ⅱ) in the presence of anionic surfactant,sodium dodecyl benzene sulf'onate has been studied.The water-insoluble TTPwas found to be a highly sensitive and highly selective reagent for direct spcctropliolomclric determination of ultramicro amount of copper.The Soret band of coppcr(Ⅱ)-TTPcomplex lies at 414nm,which was well separated from that of diacid form of TTP (444).The composition of the complex is coppcr(Ⅱ) TTP=1:1.Apparent molar absorption coefficient is 4.5×105.The interference of 23 ions and 6 salts was examined and found to be mininal.This simple and rapid method has been used for the analysis of copper in water sample,ores and Al alloy with satisfactory results.

    In the present paper,we extended these studies of the surface composition of Y,USY,and ZSM-5 zeolites using XPSmethod.The results show that the surface composition (Al/Si) of Y,USY,and ZSM-5 zeolites depend on both that of the bulk and the framwork aluminum strongly or weakly linked in the lattice.The surface layers of Yand Ni-containing Yzeolites are partially deficient in Al.The surface layers of USYand ZSM-5 zeolites are more rich in that element.Again,heating of the NiHYat 300-600℃without the Al removed,gave the results indicating that the surface deficient in Al may be more obvious.

    In this paper the differences between V2O5/SiO2 and V2O5-MoO3/SiO2 in activity of providing activated oxygen and the numbers and distribution of V4+ cations were investigated by measuring magnetic susceptibilities and irreversible adsorption amounts of catalysts and testing the catalytic activity with the flowing method.The different catalytic properties for hydrogenation of cyclohcxene and dehydrogenation of cyclohexane were discussed also.The information was drawn by the view point of the theory of corresponding structure of surface groups of catalyst.The results indicate that promoter MoO3 increases the activity of providing oxygen,and the numbers of V4+ cation of V2O5-based catalyst and the probability of forming V4+ cation groups.The different influece on V2O5-based catalst by MoO3 and P2O5 was also discussed.

    1H NMRspectra of 10 analogus on 1-phenyl-2-methyl-3-acetyl-5-para-chloro-phenyl pyrrole and five 13C NMRspectra of these compounds were determined in this paper.The resonance lines for these compounds were assigned,so that their structures were testified.The empirical substituent increments of 2-methyl-3-acetyl-3-para-chlorophenyl pyrrolinyl in benzene derivatives were attained.

    Ascries of complex oxide catalysts In0.7Sr0.3MnO3 were investigated (Ln=La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm,Gd,Tb,Dy,Ho,Er).The crystal structures of these catalysts were determined by X-ray diffraction.Some of them are the single crystals,some of them are varied pcrovskite crystals,the others are not perovskite crystals.The catalytic activities of these catalysts are very different for oxidation of COand C2H6.It was explained that the mechanism of oxidation of COand C2H6 is different,and the effect of surface area and dimension of crystal cell are different.

    Twelve thioxanthone derivatives were used for photosensitizing the gelation of poly vinyl cinnamate.It was shown that 2,4-Diisopropyl thioxanthone (DITX) and several others possess excellent photosensitizing power,the relative sensitivities being on the same level as 5-nitroacenaphthene.when the system of polyvinyl cinnamate-DITX (100:5) were exposed to the chemical fluorescent lamp (black lamp 360),the minimum quantity of exposure energy required for gelation of the polymer is about 5mj/cm2.The mechanism of photosensitization and photogelation was also studied.It is likely that the mechanism is of the class of photocrosslinking process of dipolyme-rization due to energy-transfer from triplet state-DITXto ground state-polyvinyl cinnamate.

    Polystyrene-divinylbenzenc (4%) copolymer beads is combined with anhydrous aluminium chloride and titanium tetrachloride ( 1:1) in CS2 to form a complex containing11.4% of chlorine,in which the ratio of the metal aluminum to the metal titanium approach to 2 :1 (Al/Ti=2/1) It correspond to (6.42×10-4mol A1C13 + 3.21×10-4mol TiCl4)/ 1 g complex beads.The complex is a strong solid Lewis acid and is very stable in air.The polystyrene-AlCl3/TiCl4 complex (PS-Al/Ti) can be uscd to catalyze a lot of organic synthesis reactions in high yield,such as esterifications,acetal formations,kclal formations,ethcrications and the Friedel-Crafts alkylations.The fact that dibasic metal complex (PS-Al/Ti) is more reactive than the polystyrene-AiCl3 complex and the polystyrenc-TiCl4 complex is confirmed in many reactions.It is important that the complex (PS-Al/Ti) as a catalyst can be used repeatedly at least 7 times with high yield.

    A convenient method for the synthesis of network polymeric crown ethers containing side group on network unit starting from non-crown ether monomers has been reported.Thus,six new network polymeric crown ethers have been synthesized by ring-opening copolymerization of ethylene glycol bisglycidyl ether and various monoglycidyl ethers in the presence of ( i-Bu)3Al/H3PO4/H2O/PhN(CH3 )2 as catalyst,respectively.The obtained polymers possess good complexing capacities for sodium and potassium ion and most of them show effective PTCactivity in the nucleophilic substitution of BuBr by PhOKin triphase system.
