Study on 5-Phenyl-2-(5' -Phenyl Oxazol-2'-yl)-1,3,4-Oxadiazole and Its 5-p-Substituted Phenyl Derivatives

Abstract: The synthesis, UVand FLspectra, substituent effects as well as laser conversion efficiencies of 5-phenyl-2-(5' -phenyl-oxazol-2'-yl)-1, 3,4-oxadiazole and eleven of its 5-para-substituted phenyl derivatives are reported in this paper. The solvent effects on the electronic spectra of two of these compounds in eleven solvents are discussed. All of the oxazolyl oxadiazoles are new compounds.
