Abstract: The critical nucleation radius is 2.8 nm obtained from calculation with thermodynamic method. If the nucleus caused by fluctuation is less than 2.8 nm, the nucleus will not grow up. Though the thermodynamic analysis is semi ideal, it is effective. We find a solution system in which the nucleation does not take place uniformly, but does on the surfaces of different solid phases. It gives a feasibility theoretically for titanate being coated uniformly with silica nanofilm and a single phase of silica not being formed.
