Abstract: The effect of organic solvents on the electrochemical behavior of the soluble polyimide(PI) was studied by using cyclic voltammetry. It was found that PIcan undergo electrochemical reaction in some solvents, while the electrochemical response can not be observed in other solvents. The results of IRspectra indicate that the effect of the solvents on the electrochemical behavior of PIis due to the different interactions between PIand the solvent.
