Abstract: Molecular sieve membranes consisting of SAPO-24 and SAPO-44 molecular sieve crystals have been hydrothermally prepared on the ceramic substrate in the Al2O3-SiO2-H3PO4-H2O-amine system. X-ray diffraction verified the presence of the pure molecular sieve phases on the substrate, and the SEMshowed that the SAPO-34 and SAPO-44 molecular sieve crystals had grown together to form a continuous molecular sieve layer. The influences of silica content, HFcontent, pHvalue in the memberanes formations have been studied.
