Structure and Properties of Y Zeolites Modified by NH4BF4

Abstract

Abstract: A series of dealuminated Yzeolites containing no boron in the framework were prepared by treating conventional NH₄Y with aqueous solution of NH₄BF₄. The structure and properties of these dealuminated Y zeolites were characterized with various techniques and compared with other types of modified Yzeolites. It was found that these zeolites have less dealumination defects, higher thermostability and specific acid site distribution,NH₄BF₄ treatment is a feasible modification method for preparing dealuminated Yzeolites with special features.
