Fluorescent Spectrum of Polymethyl β-Phenethylsilylene

Abstract: In this paper the excimer fluorescence of poly[methy(β-phenethyl) silyene] (PMPES) was studied.By concentration quenching, adding precipitant and quenching medium, the fluorescence of monomer and excimer in PMPESsolution is proved.The excimers originate from the interaction of interchain or intrachain phenyl groups.Through studying the fluorescence spectrum of PMPESat 77K, partial chromophores were found to form excimer' s conformation at ground state.
