Abstract: The surface texture of heterogeneous catalysts was characterized by using the fractal theory method, computer image texture analysis technique, the catalyst for the oxidation of naphthalene to phthalic anhydride as the sample, and by changing the content of promoter K2SO4 and P2O5 in this paper. The experimental results show that the fractal dimension value Dchanged with the variation of the promoter contents and the yield of phthalic anhydride reached the highest value when Dvalue was maximum.
