Synthesis and Application of New Color Reagent Meso-tetra-(4-hydroxy-3-ethoxyphenyl) Porphyrin

Abstract:

A new color reagent, tetra(4-hydroxy-3-ethoxyphenal) porphyrin, was synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, MS, UV-Vis spectrum, Infrared spectrum, and ¹H NMR spectrum. In a pH=11 solution with NaOH and Na[B₄O₅(OH)₄]·8H₂O, the complex of this color reagent with Pb was formed. The apparent molar absorptance of the complex was 2.08×10⁵ L/(mol·cm)(λ=473 nm ). Beer′s low was obeyed for Pb in the range of 0—12 μg/25 mL. The reagent was applied to the determination of Pb in the certified reference material(GBW07601) successfully.
