Abstract: Anew kind of amphiphilic polymer composed of a hydrophobic St-DVB microgel core and several hydrophilic polymethyacrylic acid chains was synthesized via radical initiation polymerization and graftThe behavour of the monolayers was studied by the surface pressrue-area curves and the Y-type of the multilayers of the amphiphilic graft polymer is first built by LBtechniqueIts layer structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and TEM, and the thermal stability was discussed.

Key words: St-DVB/MA amphiphilic graft copolymer, LB Films, "Duckweed", structure
