Abstract: With the silanized porous anodic alumina(PAA) as a templates, an array of concentric composite nanostructures of Ni nanotubes/γ-Fe2O3 nanowires were prepared by electrodeposition and chemical precipitation. The microstructure of the nanowires and nanotubes was studied by employing the transmission electron mircoscope(TEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) techniques respectively. The results show that the diameter of composite nanowires is about 50 nm, the shell of the composite nanowires is the amorphous Ni nanotuble with a thickness from 4-15 nm by varying electrodeposition parameters and it coats a polycrystalline γ-Fe2O3 core.
