Abstract: The sound absorption coefficients of PVC were measured at different frequencies and temperatures. The results show that the sound absorption coefficient of polymer as a function of the loss factor was detected when the sample′s thickness is fixed. And the polymer materials exhibit the special sound absorption frequencies. It is supposed that the damping polymer materials with a better sound absorption at a fixed frequency can be synthesized.
