Abstract

Abstract: In positiveion fast atom bombardment(FAB)mass spectrometry, it is difficult to determine The molecular w eights of oligosaccharides due to the low abundance of[M+H]⁺ion How ever, when oligosaccharides are mixed with an appropriate amountof NaCl and LiCl, two highly abundant peaks[M+LI]⁺and[M+Na]⁺appear in FAB mass spectra and Their mass diff erence is 16.from The adductions, The molecular weights of oligosaccharides can be determineddef initively.this technique has not been reported previously.
