Synthesis and Characterization of (5,7,7,12,14,14-Hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-4,11-dieno)Nickel Bis(O,O'-dialkyldithiophosphate)

Abstract: Four nickel complexes [Ni (hmtade) {SSP (OR)2}2] (hmtade=5, 7, 7, 12, 14, 14-hexamethyl-1, 4, 8, 11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-4, 11-diene; R=phenyl, 2-naphthyl, 2-phenylethyl and cyclohexyl) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, infrared spectra, electronic spectra, NMR spectra (1H and 31P) and TG-DTA analysis. The results indicate that all complexes are non-electrolysis in DMSO and O,O'-dialkyldithiophosphoric acid radicals as monodentate ligands coordinate to nickel atom. The tetraazamacrocyclic configuration and the TG-DTA curves of complexes are also discussed.
