Abstract: Anew method for determining the specific interface between different phases in a multi-phase system was recommended and as examples a group of SMSI catalyst Rh/TiO2was tested. The method, which is based on the calculation of correlation function and electron density fluctuations, was started from the intensity data collected on a rotating-anode X-ray diffraction system. The data were used to calculate the correlation function γ(0) value and the specific interface in multi-phase system using formulas given by Brumberger,et al.The results were valuable for chemists to explain the experiments in catalysis research work such as SMSI catalysis study and so on.
