Abstract: The title system was studied, its equilibrium diagram was constructed by solubilities. There were two complexes La(Gly)3(ClO4)3·2H2O(I) and La(Gly)4(ClO4)3(II) occurring in the system. The incongruent complexes (I) was synthsized, its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction, the structure of (I) consists of [La2(Gly)6(H2O)4]6+ cation and perchlotate ions. The crystal is triclinic with space group of P1 The unit cell parameters are as follows:a=1.0693(3) nm,b=1.25956(3) nm,c=0.8762 nm,a=82.83(3)°,β=67.25 (3)° γ=71.50(2)°,forming a distorted tricapped trigonal prism.
