Abstract: In the presence of (NH4)2SO4the aqueous solution of the mixed polymers of polyethylene glycol (PEG)2000 and Tween 80 can be separated into liquid and solid phases. The conditions for the phase separation were found. The distribution behaviour of water-soluble ligands and their metal chelates between the two phases was studied. The quantitative extraction separation of Zr(Ⅳ)-Sc (Ⅲ) and Fe(Ⅲ)-Sc(Ⅲ) was achieved. The extraction mechanism for the phase of the mixed polymers was tentatively discussed.
