Abstract: The dynamic information about adsorbed molecules on solid surface can be provided by using 13CNMR spectrometry. In the adsorption systems used, the line broadening of the spectrum is mainly due to the dipole-dipole interaction between adsorbed molecues, it is therefore clear that the comparison of linewidth between different adsorbed systems provide a qualitative measure for the mobility of adsorbed species. In the present paper the . adsorption behavior of pyridine and 2,6-dimethylpyridine on the surface of SiO2, A12O3, NaY, HYhas been demonstrated by this technique. The nature of gas-solid interaction and the configuration of the adsorbed molecules were also discussed.
