Abstract: The presence of enol form of l-phenyl-3-methyJ-4-benzoylpyrazolone(5) (PMBP) with an endocyclic intramolecular hydrogen bond elucidated by NMRstudy in Cl4 or CHCl3 was established.No reaction of the chelate-proton of enol form with water was shown,but exchange ability was quite active.
