Abstract: The title complex was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by sin-gle crystal X-ray diffraction technique with a four circle diffractometer to give final R1 value 0.0509 and WR2 value 0.1337. The crystal is triclinic with space group P1 The unit cell parameters are: a=0.9254 (1)nm, b=0.9922(1) nm, c=1.0658(2)nm, α=71.481(10)°, β=77.950(10)°, γ=65.350(10)°, V=0.8401(2)nm3, Z=2, Dc=2.034g/cm3.The complex is a two-dimensional polymeric molecule. In addition, every yttrium atom is co-ordinated by four oxygen atoms from four iminodiacetic acid molecules and four oxygen atoms from water molecules. The coordination number of yttrium ion is 8 and the coordina-tion polyhedron is a distorted trigondodecahedron.
