Abstract: According to the kinetic model of optical chemical reactions,a new kinetic equation is deduced as the following: I0/I=1+APQB As a simple and prastical kinetic equation, it can be used to determine quantitatively a gasous or liquid quencher quenching a luminescent complex immobilized in some polymer matrix. The experimental results show that the equation can be fitted with the luminescentquenching data and be used to explain the common mechanism of luminescent quenching reactions in a polymer matrix very well.
