Synthesis of a Photo crosslinked Electro-optic Polymer and Its Electro-optic Measurement

Abstract: A novel three-dimensional electro-optic polymer containing photo-crosslinkable group was synthesized. 4-Nitroaniline and cinnamyl were introduced onto the polymer matrix of bis-A-epoxy as the electro-optic chromophore and photosensitive chromophore respectively. Athermal stable polymeric electro-optic film was prepared by spin-coating, followed by the corona poling and photo crosslinking reaction in the late poling phase. An external electro-optic measuring system based on the electro-optic film was fabricated, by which the electric-signals propagating on the coplanar waveguide were measured.
