Abstract: Anew enhancing mechanism of surfactants in FAASis proposed. This paper narrates that below the cmc of surfactants, the enhancement results primarily from enrichment of analyte in small droplets of aerasols because of the surface effect of surfactants, and above the cmc, the enrichment is getting less and less, and the new enhancement results from the binding of analyte to micellae in bulk. And in flame, amplifying of reductive environment because of the incomplete burning of surfactants is always one of the enhancing factors.
