Studies on Synthesis and Characterization of Guanidinium Salts of Lanthanides-Hctcropolytungstosilicate

Abstract: Potassium salts of lanthanides-heteropolytungstosilicate,LnL, were synthesised in weak basic solution in the presence of Ln3+(Ln=La, Pr. Nd, Sm-Yb). Then,they, were turned into their guanidinium salts, (CN3H6)5[LnSiW11O39] nH2O, by the way of metathesis reaction. It is shown that Ln3+is in the inner-coordination sphere according to the resuluts of cation exchange. The guanidinium salts of lanthanides-heteropolytungstosilicate were characterized by IR,UVspectra, DSC-TGA and X-ray powder diffraction.
