Syntheis and configuration of Dibenzo-Crown Ethers Derived from Salicyl Alcohol

Abstract: Two dibenzocrown ethers(1 and 2) were synthesized by the reaction of salicyl alcohol with NaH and di- and triethyleneglycol ditosylates in DMF, Their structures were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1HNMR and MS. Dibenzo-20-crown ether(1)was confirmed as anti-configuration by the X-ray diffraction analysis of its single crystal.According to the configuration of 1, the reaction mechanism of the synthesis is proposed.
