Abstract: It was presented that the sensitization of cupric ion to the polarographic adsorptive wave of RE-DBF-CPAsystem in this paper. The peak current of PAWcan be increased about 10 times in the solution of 0.1 mol/L NH4Cl in the presence of more than 1.0 mg Cu(Ⅱ) ion. Therefore, it has been established that a sensitive and selective method for determination of trace RE.The linear range is 1.43×10-9-3.0×10-8(RE)mol/L, the detection limit is 7.1×10-10(RE) mol/L.This method has been used to determine trace REin several sample of leaves. The mechanism of sensitization of Cu(Ⅱ) ion to this system has been investigated preliminarily.
