Abstract: This paper deals with a new fluorometric reagent, 5'-nitro-salicylfluorone (5'-N-SAF) which was synthesized by ourselves used to determinate molybdenum in the presence of Triton X-l00. Anew fluorometric method has been developed and the optimum conditions have been established. The linear range is 0-0. 6 μg/mLand the minimum detectable amount is 4×10-3μg/mL.

Key words: Molybdenum, 5'-Nitro-salicylfluorone, Fluorescence quenching method
