Abstract: The proton transfer across the water/ nitrobenzene interface facilitated by ionophore ETH1616(N,N-bis heptyl-ethyldiamide) has been investigated by chronopotentiometry with linear current scanning and cyclic voltammetry. The stability constant of the complex and the diffusion coefficient of ionophore ETH1616in the nitrobenzene phase have been estimated, respectively. The mechanism of the proton transfer has been discussed.
