Studies on the Properties of Bi₂O₃-Al₂O₃Type Promotors

Abstract

Abstract: Aseries of alumina-supported promotors Bi₂O₃/Al₂O₃were prepared by the methods of the impregnation and the decomposition of their corresponding salts. The catalytic activities of CO oxidation and coke-carbon, and sulfur-resistant of the promotors were investigated. The results show that the promotors are close to Pt/Al₂O j in the catalytic activities and sulfur-resistant at about 600℃. It is expected that the Pt/Al₂O₃is used as the promotors for the catalytic cracking in the regeneration of zeolite catalyst, in which it can enhance the combustion rate of coke and decrease the percentage of CO in tail gases.
