A Novel Technique for Synthesizing Fullerene C₆₀

Abstract

Abstract: A novel technique for synthesizing fullerene C₆₀ by using plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition is first reported .We explored the preparation conditions of C₆₀ from polynucle-ar compound as the precursor.The characteristic of mass spectra of C₆₀ samples were studied by using EIMS (Electron Impact Mass Spectrometry) and FDMS(Field Desorption Mass Spectrometry) methods.The C₆₀ molecular peak at m/z=720 and their isotopic peak were observed.There are some fragment peaks and other fullerenes of the samples in the diagrams.
