Synthesis, Structure and Optical Properties of a D-π-A Type 2,2'∶6',2"-Terpyridine Derivative

Abstract: A D-π-A type 2, 2′: 6′, 2?-terpyridine derivative with two-photon properties was synthesized by using 2, 2′: 6′, 2?-terpyridine as an acceptor (A) and other functional group as a donor (D). For the D-π-A type 2, 2′: 6′, 2?-terpyridine derivative, we investigated its crystal structure, linear absorption, single- and two-photon properties.
