Abstract: The host-guest chemistry of systems containing Buflomedil (denoted as DLDE) and cucurbit[n]uril (denoted as CB[n], n=6, 7, 8) is investigated by 1H NMR, ESI-MS, IR, and UV-vis spectra. The Buflomedil guest and CB[n], n=6, 7, 8 host can form a stable 1:1 inclusion complex, in which the position of the host is different, respectively. It was found that the size of the cavity of the CB[n] plays an important role in the interaction between the host and the guest.

Key words: cucurbit[n]uril, Buflomedil, inclusion complex, Interreaction model, 1H NMR technique
