Study and Preparation of Soluble Polypyrrole Composite Film

Abstract: Through chemical oxidation method, pyrrole was polymerized in situ by FeCl3in PMMA matrix dissolved in ethyl acetate. The resulting polypyrrole was dissolved in PMMA solution. Asoft freestand composite film was produced by the evaporation of solvent ethyl acetate. Its conductivity(Py40% in mass fraction) was about 3S/cm measured by standard fourprobe method. It had a good stability in air. The factors affecting the polymerization such as temperature, time and matrix were investigated.
