Abstract: A new chemometric approach, annihilation of rank and resolution by projection(ARRP) has been developed in this paper. The chromatographic peaks can be directly qualified and quantified without resolution of the other chromatographic peaks. The approach has been successfully applied to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex real multicomponent system with PAHs phenanthrene, anthracene, fluoranthene and pyrene as desired components in air-borne paritculate.
