Abstract: The C2selectivity of catalyst La2O3for oxidative coupling of methane may be enhanced by doping a small amount of CaO. The studying results by using some experimental techniques, such as determination of ionic conductivity, determination of lattice parameters, Raman spectroscopy and XPS of the catalysts indicated that part of La3+ions was substituted by Ca2+ion(≤3 mol%) in La2O3lattice and C2selectivity in OCM reaction was increased due to the formation of O-ions.
