Abstract: Four kinds of carboxylic acid chromium (Ⅲ) Salen complexes Cr (Salen) L (H2O)n (L=nicotinate, isonicotinate, pyromucate, benzoate;n=1 or 2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR, UV , TGand electron microscope.Carboxylate oxygen-bound chromium (Ⅲ) complexes have been observed in these complexes.Atransmission electron microscope study of Cr (Salen) (nicotinate) (H2O)2 showed a hexagonal system structure in the crystal. The TGanalysis in nitrogen for four complexes showed a loss of all water molecules corresponding to the first step, the final decomposition leads to Cr2O3.
