Abstract: Anew method for preparing V2O3 by decomposing hydrazine-eontaining vanadium salt thermally was described. The hydrazine-containing vanadium salt is synthesized by the reaction between ammonium metavanadate and hydrazine in an oxalic acid medium, and under an atmosphere of nitrogen V2O3 can be prepared from the hydrazine-containing vanadium salt by the thermal decomposition. It shows that V2O3 has magnetism and electrical conductivity.
